Is there something I possibly missed? After a few more trials, it looks like it's a full freeze rather than a touchpad problem.
Now, Lubuntu is on, but I can only navigate through keyboard as I imagined, the sound doesn't seem active but neither is the touch-pad. Other than trying that I have no other ideas as I am not familiar with that particular device. I found an additional way to install Lubuntu Wifi Also works great!

With this in mind I've combined the latest patches and source together with Canonical's kernel source to create a range of ISOs that can work on Intel's Atom Compute Sticks from the very basic model to the latest. All include audio over HDMI, wifi and bluetooth together with patches that try to reduce the random freezes that have been known to occur.
First up is Lubuntu. Unknown 24 May at Linuxium 13 June at Unknown 2 June at But there is one thing. What about kernel updates? I think it's important. Hi, Thanks for the work testing and incorporating patches on ubuntu I bought a stck1a32wfc ICS originally with W I ran it once with W I just assumed this was Windows and proceeded to install your patched ubuntu Although it runs well, it freezes after half to one hour Cool, thanks Dennis - all done - hopefully won't need to return it.
Will let you guys know how it goes. The cause of the freezes are not fully understood. My kernel is patched but it still seems to freeze for some. Using the kernel parameter to limit the system to only C-State 1 can only be considered as a workaround for those willing to run the device continuously. Thanks - it certainly works as a workaround on mine - at least so far.
I'm hanging on to mine :. I tried various brands and card sizes. I thought sd card reader was defect so returned and got a replacement which did the same thing. I installed Windows 10 bit and the card reader slot works fine so clearly something specific to Ubuntu Anyone else see this and have a solution? I don't have a solution at the moment. Probably, but as I don't have an Intel Atom tablet I haven't tried. I've got my intel ubuntu stick connected to my old motorola atrix lapdock.
It works very well but because of lack of memory errors I can not do any updating of ubuntu. What is the best solution to this problem? I've removed several applications but that does not free up enough to update. Any help is appreciated. There are plenty of guides on the web explaining how to do this. Another benefit is it will allow you to re-install Ubuntu without loosing your data. Any chance it could work on Jumper Ezbook 2? You would have to port to the Jumper Ezbook 2 yourself.
I have Linuxium Lubuntu It boots fine, even audio and wifi work from the start.
